Transport Dulles Airport


Silver Line Express Bus: it connects Dulles airport with the Silver Line’s Wiehle-Reston East Metro station. Travel time is about 15 minutes (peak times), 20 minutes (off-peak times). It is a fast method of transportation. Currently the Silver Line is under a refurbishment, it is possible that the service is delayed.

Ticket price: $5/one way*. Free for kids under 2 years of age.

Fairfax Bus

- Route 983: serve locations in Reston, in Fairfax County, and connects with the Smithsonian Udvar-Hazy Air & Space Museum during the museum hours.

- Route 981: runs outside of museum hours. It also serves the locations in Reston.



Route 5A: it connects the airport with Rosslyn VA and L'Enfant Plaza, in Washington, D.C. It stops as well in Herndon–Monroe Park and Ride garage.



Only Washington Flyer Taxi agency is authorized to serve to/from the Dullas airport. If passengers want to board a non-Washington Flyer Taxi, should request it directly with the company.

Washington Flyer Taxi Service is offered 24/7 and taxi rank is located in the Main Terminal, at Door 2 and 6.
